Cork to Baltimore fund raising cycle for
the Childerns Leukemia.
-
On
the 27 th of May 2006 a group of cyclists
plan to cycle from Carrigaline to Baltimore
to raise funds for the Children's Leukemia
Unit in Mercy Hospital on behalf of the Children's
Leukemia Association (CLA) and Our Lady's
Hospital for sick children, Crumlin.
Anyone
who has had the misfortune of experiencing
the trauma associated with a family member
diagnosed with Leukemia will understand the
necessity of these fund-raisers. One visit
to the wards would melt the heart of even
the most cynical.
This
and many other cancer illnesses require extreme
treatment – challenging the strength and endurance
of the bravest. The treatment regime is tough
and the recovery period lengthy. By supporting
this cause you can help provide the much needed
facilities and infrastructure the children
need to help them fight their illness. The
Children's Leukemia Units are what they are
today largely as a result of contributions
from the public. They depend heavily on our
generosity. Wouldn't you want only the best
for your Child?
